Top 10 Scientific Breakthroughs of 2007

Image...
Wired Magazine has compiled their top ten scientific breakthroughs of 2007. Those making the list include: Scientists cloning rhesus monkey to produce stem cells, a transparent material as strong as steel, and researchers turning skin cells to stem cells.

But my personal favorite? Hands down chimpanzees making spears for hunting. You know what that means. We're one step closer to a real life "Planet of the Apes!"

I was gonna pick a personal favorite as well...but I'm just gonna repeat the chimp thing. Wowza.

Also, imagining the T-Rex acting like a huge-ass chicken is pretty fun. It makes some sort of sense, what with the useless arms/ useless wings and the reliance on the beak/ jaws...

Wow, I always wonder how far were other species from using survival techniques, I guess we are on it!

I think the skin stem cell growth is the most disturbing...The Frankenstein implications of that are frightening.

At the same time it's most promising for helping a huge number of medical issues.
