the problem with american politics is that politicians are ambitious to win votes and hold office, not to lead or govern, thus they assume any popular position to win votes (this is the definition of 'politically correct' - take any position that will win votes) even if the majority position is wrong.

The problem with American politics......we need more then 2 parties. The Oligarch comes in and buys both of the parties we have......what good are two parties?

Even if we had more it would be the same, People don't pay enough attention to keep them honest.
