Claudio Simpkins of the Hip Hop Republicans says that if you haven't heard, and just to let you know, his group consists of young black republicans who want you to know they are just as "down" for black folk as liberals. Their only difference is that they hold conservative views on certain issues.

Lie to yourself all you want. This is America, true. The Hip-Hop Republicans have a right to support whatever cause they see fit. With that said, I offer the truth. The GOP elite don't care about minorities, gays, the middle or poorer classes, liberals or pretty much anyone different unless it profits them.

It is just true. Ask John McCain, who refused legislation to financially assist Katrina victims. They are 'supposedly' fiscal conservatives, not social ones. Again, they can believe what they want. Ask the HHR what their reception was like. I'm sure they just rolled the red carpet out for them. Right.

Every Black Republican I've met acts as though they have no idea that they are the members of a historically oppressed people.
What perplexes me even more is that they are supporting a candidate who opposed Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday as a national holiday. Who does that??? Where is the awareness of self...? Most members of their party didn't even attend the Black Caucus Debates.

Just because they use Hip Hop in their title doesn't mean they're accepted or appreciated by the community as a whole, anyway... In fact, it is just as racist as Palin being VP pick is sexist....
