Florida Sen. Bill Nelson urges Americans to break addiction to oil

Senator Nelson points out that our addiction is costing us heavily and that drilling for more in the Gulf will not abate that addiction. What we need is heavy investment in alternative energy sources, and for that we need both parties to cooperate.

utilizing oil, and the vast benifit it creates, is not an "addiction" it is intellignce. Per BTU and energy "out" for energy "in", there is no other energy source on earth except for nuclear, that is as economical.

    nelson, is an uninformed panderer.

"utilizing oil and the vast benefits it creates"?

What benefits are those Mr. kaffegeek?

The wars fought and the hundreds of thousands killed in the rush to control other countries reserves?

The tons of pollution spewed into the air and water to release those BTU's of energy?

The greed and the economic chasm created by those who "control" those vast benefits?

I beg to differ sir. It's high time we found a cleaner, renewable and less controllable by the rich source of energy to rely on.
