A few weeks back, Berwyn Heights mayor, Cheye Calvo, was the subject of a no-knock warrant served on his home after a package addressed to his wife was delivered to his home. During shipping, drug dogs searched for and discovered 32 pounds of marijuana in that package. Police delivered the package dressed as FedEx deliverymen and were instructed to leave the package on the porch by Calvo’s mother-in-law.

I like how this guy is using his position, class, and color to bring attention to this. It is depressing that this guy, who lost his dogs, gets on TV and gets so much sympathy, yet people lose family members and get no media at all. I just hope he keeps up his effort but never forgets that he got off lucky.

WHOA! I am glad you are not judge & jury...

There were 2 men arrested immediatly after this horrible event took place. The 2 men who were charged were Fed Ex drivers and had arranged for the drugs to be delivered...HOWEVER, IT WAS TAKEN TO THE WRONG ADDRESS.

There have been FORMAL apologies made by the Sherrif's office to the family for the false information that led to the "mistaken" raid.

There is also a FORMAL investigation being carried out (by request of the MAYOR), as to the shooting & death of both dogs. There are apparently some concerns with the "mistake" and the shooting of 1 of the dogs in the BACK OF THE HEAD & BACK OF THE LEGS...4 TIMES as the dog was running away FROM THE HOUSE.

Just because some TOOLS out there use a status quo be TOTAL WIPES, doesn't mean this man (or his family) have done the same. .
