Vipers usually use their venom to immobilise or kill their prey. The poison, which is injected through their hollow fangs, paralyses the nervous system and causes internal bleeding, but not this time.
The tiny rodent killed the snake after a fierce 30-minute battle, emerging with "barely a scratch on him", according to one person who saw the fight. "It attacked the snake continuously, biting and scratching it."

This is probably the coolest thing that has ever happened ever. That mouse should lead a revolution,
"Come with me little ones! We shall fight on the beaches, we shall never surrender!"

does this mouse have superpowers?
this is great, even the smallest and in the more hopeless situation possible survive!!is a good thing the snake didnt survive though, poor guy would have been the joke in town for a while

This is cool. I am glad the Mouse won. The way snakes kill and eat there prey is awful. I don't know how anyone could stand there watching the attack for 30 minutes :(
-
Finally!!! The Mice have found their savior!!!!!!!!!
-
when I was in elementary school we had a corn snake that ate small mice. one day we found a wild mouse and tried to feed it to the snake. being that the snake had been given tame feeder mice it's hole life it did not know how to really hunt and the mouse fought back. The snake ended up hiding in a corner and we let the mouse go.

Ferocious Mice - band name.

I SAY
GOOOOOOO MOOOUUUUUUSSSSEEEE !!!!!!!!

I like snakes A LOT more than mice.
Snakes don't break into my cereal and eat it. Snakes don't spread the plague. Snakes are cool.
BOO MOUSE!

was this a set up to see what would happen when a big mouse came across a small snake? most snake owners feed there pet snakes dead mice.
-
Go Mouse! I HATE snakes - they're evil - and although it's not PC, one less snake in the world really doesn't bother me... sorry. Once again: Go mouse!!
-
EPIC!
-
I see this as a prophetic allegory. It tells me that it is past time for people to stop standing by and allowing the powers to be just continue to devour us.
The Meek Will Inherit The Earth, (when we stop giving up without a fight).

Are you a MAN or a MOUSE??
Today, I'm a mouse!
This is a microcosim of the 2008 election. Guess, who the snake is??

hooray... now they're probably gonna kill the mouse and study it for science.
-
The snakes owners just stood there and watched a mouse spend half-an-hour killing it?
Strange.

Yeay! Go mighty mouse! The mouse deserved to win that battle, after being so cruelly thrown into the snake's cage. Looking at the pic though, even with a nasty bite, it does seem to be quite a small snake.
-
If I were that snake's owner and saw that my pet was getting its ass handed to it by (what was supposed to be) dinner, I would have taken the mouse out of the cage. Run free, Super Mouse! Go pop the tab on a can of whoop-ass on someone else! Live another day!!

after the mouse killed the snake, it was taken out and thrown in with another snake, who promptly devoured it..

That mouse needs to pick on something its own size. How dare he attack that poor defenseless snake. ; P

"and coming up..
'DNA testing on the mighy mouse that killed the fierce venomous snake. What made this little creature fend for itself when all the others didnt seem to attempt at all to realize the danger once thrown into the death trap??'
The answers scientist have found, coming up next."

I think we could learn a lot from that mouse.
