The fire it is Progressing

I am uploading the progressing of it. Right now it has take over 1/2 of the island. It is unbelievable how quick this fire is spreeding.

stopnoise, It's nice that you got the correct mode for the Cam with the last pictures, but I think you need either a new camera or a nicer lens. Yeah, it's the video that is pretty bad.

I watched the entire fire start at 8:30 in a small portion on the eastern side of the Island. I live on Yerba Buena Island, in the bay close to Angel Island. The fire got incredibly large, with giant eruptions of flame when the Eucalyptus trees caught on fire.

It seems that it is mostly contain except for a left spot that still burning heavily.

Still have a lots of spots from right where it started to left towards the big flame there. Looking outside now it seems that it has been mostly contained.

Looks like a wild grass fire. We've been having a lot of those around lately. It's probably the dryest weather we've had in years and the prolonged drought has exacerbated the situation. I would presume that San Francisco is just as dry, but I don't think you've had any rains yet! Still, it's strange to see a fire on Angel Island.
