DX-Clusive: Tech N9ne Talks Retirement
During the course of a career that spans over a decade, Tech N9ne has released no less than eight studio albums. Tech recently announced that his latest effort, Killer, would likely make him the first independent artist to SoundScan over 1 million albums [click to read]. So now, less than a week after Killer's release, why would Tech N9ne contemplate a life without rap? Age, family commitments and a perceived lack of respect factor in heavily.
"I’m 36 now, and I’ll be 37 on November 8," Tech said, while speaking exclusively with HipHopDX. "No matter how I feel, it seems nobody gets the shit like they should be getting it. I get frustrated. I also get frustrated because I tour like a motherfucker, and I’m always away from my children. This is how I take care of them, but this always takes me away. I feel like I would love to just relax on an island with my motherfuckin’ kids and just kick it."

Hip Hop Live: Week Ending 7/11
Happy 4th of July to all our readers out there, and welcome to this week’s installment of Hip Hop Live!
This weekend kicks it off on Saturday (July 5) with RZA at Webster Hall in New York, NY at 6:00 PM, starting at $25. The Wu-Tang head honcho will be performing again on Monday (July 7) at 9:00 PM at the Trocadero in Philadelphia, PA, where tickets will go for $22.50. The legendary Sugar Hill Gang and Lisa Lisa cancelled their performance on Saturday at the Wildwood Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ. It is not clear whether they will be rescheduling.
Crooked I will be performing on Saturday (July 4) at Chop Suey in Seattle, WA at 9:00 PM. Tickets are $10. David Banner [click to read] will be hitting the famous House of Blues Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA on Monday at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $22.50. Banner will also be performing on Wednesday (July 9) at 7:30 PM at the House of Blues Dallas in Dallas, TX.

Flanked in his corner by the most dynamic training duo in history (Dr. Dre and Eminem) 50 Cent has ensured his constant presence on the gossip sites and Hip Hop webzines with his verbal attacks on the innocent, the not-so-innocent and those looking for a free PR campaign.

A Warren Buffett Rap 'The Oracle of Omaha' (Lyrics Only)
I saw a video special on Warren Buffett in late May, he gave a lot of great advice about his life philosophy and tips on how he invests. Mr. Buffett is currently the richest man in the world. The majority of his wealth came from understanding the concept of business while developing Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Seeing this inspired me to put some writing to music and I came up with 'The Oracle of Omaha' Warren Buffett Rap. (Part Of My Success Rap Series) Does Mr. Buffett even listen to rap? Who knows?! I hope he has a chance to hear my rap song about him. In my Buffett search I have found out when it comes to music, he does sing and play the ukulele. I also heard him say he likes Cherry Coke, Johnny Rockets and Mc Donalds. One more thing he likes to play is the card game bridge.
According to webster.com an Oracle is a person giving wise or authoritative decisions or opinions. The 'Oracle of Omaha' is a nickname given to Mr. Buffett for three main reasons: 1. He is the greatest investor of all modern times. 2. A large portion of the investment community tends to follow his advice. 3. He lives in Omaha, Nebraska.
