Could Obama pass the security check for the Secret Service?
This is a question that is circling around many blogs of late. What's your opinion? Do you think he could? Does it even matter? Should he be the next President of the United States given his past associations? Your thoughts.
The following excerpts are from an article at http://thecaptainsamerica.blogspot.com/

DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (NS/NMJ) -
There has been much talk, both pro and con, about whether Sen. Barack Obama’s “associations” matter with regard to his qualifications to hold the office of President of the United States. This argument, this avenue of political discourse, misses the point. Whether or not Sen. Obama has associations with criminals, terrorists and other nefarious and infamous individuals pales in comparison as to whether he has been influenced by them...
We have heard the names of the people on the list of radicals and ne’er-do-wells that Barack Obama says he knows but doesn’t know; has worked with but hasn’t worked with; has taken money from but hasn’t taken money from. They include but are not limited to:
Williams Ayers, Saul Alinsky, Don Warden (aka Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour), Frank Marshall Davis, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Fr. Michael Pfleger, Rashid Khalidi, Tony Rezko, Franklin Raines, James Johnson, Nadhmi Auchi, Joseph Aramanda, Louis Farrahkan, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Kevin Wardally...
While it is legitimate to question whether it demonstrates good judgment to associate with such decidedly radical ideologues, it is more important to understand whether or not Sen. Obama has been influenced – at any point in his life – by any of these people...
The argument can be made that Sen. Obama has most certainly been influenced by the teachings of self-proclaimed socialist Saul Alinsky. In, Saul Alinsky’s best known and final work, Rules for Radicals, he mapped out a course of action for the counter-culture movement of the 1960s. It is in Rules for Radicals that Barack Obama found his model for his community organizing activities...
It can be argued that Sen. Obama was influenced by William Ayers, unrepentant terrorist and bomber of the US Capitol Building, free today only due to an evidence gathering technicality (it should be noted here that no trial is needed to determine Ayers guilt in his terrorism...he has admitted to the acts)...
It is becoming more evident as each day passes that Ayers met a young Barack Obama on the Columbia University campus, or at least at common ground near the campus, where a plethora of anti-American and socialist and Marxist-leaning rallies took place. Both admit to attending these rallies and both were enrolled at Columbia; Ayers studying for his M.Ed in Early Childhood Education and Obama his B.A. in political science with a specialization in international relations...
While this supposition alone doesn’t prove any ideological symbiosis between Ayers and Obama, the fact that Obama channeled millions of dollars to Ayers’ “educational projects” when chairing the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, does...
In the person of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, we most certainly see someone who held influence with Barack Obama, so much so that Obama titled his second book, The Audacity of Hope, after one of the reverend’s sermons. To believe that Sen. Obama would be able to listen attentively enough to draw “wisdom” from one of Wright’s sermons so to include in a book while sitting in the pews of Trinity United Church of Christ for twenty years but not understand that Wright was a racist is to believe that the American public is completely devoid of intelligence...
These are only three of at least fifteen people of questionable character that Sen. Obama says he knows but doesn’t know; has worked with but hasn’t worked with; has taken money from but hasn’t taken money from, and the list gets more contentious as it goes on... This is a question that is circling around many blogs of late. What's your opinion? Do you think he could? Does it even matter? S... more -

Barack Obama and His Friendship With Terrorist Bill Ayers
While GOP Presidential hopeful John McCain introduced his new running-mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, American Issues Project wrapped up its first phase of a television advertising and issue campaign, which called into question the long-standing relationship between Barack Obama and unrepentant 1960s domestic terrorist, William Ayers.
"American Issues Project clearly has struck a nerve inside the Obama campaign, but even more important is the reaction of the American people, who are starting to question why Sen. Obama would have such a close relationship with an unrepentant domestic terrorist," said Ed Martin, American Issues Project president.
"The heavy-handed response of the Obama campaign definitely misfired. The more the Obama campaign has tried to bully the ad off the air with its spurious legal threats and intimidation, the more voters have wondered what he has to hide," he said.
The made-for-television ad examines the connection between Sen. Obama and domestic terrorist William Ayers, co-founder of the violent, radical Weather Underground movement that "declared war on America" and successfully bombed the U.S. Capitol, Pentagon, a police station in New York and other targets across the nation.
Ayers has not only trumpeted his role in the bombings, he is unrepentant. On September 11th, 2001, the New York Times reported him saying, "I don't regret setting bombs… I feel we didn't do enough."
Not only is Barack Obama's friend and frequent committee member, domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, not sorry for bombing the Capitol and the Pentagon he wishes he could have set more bombs. Apparently blowing-up three people was not enough for Bill Ayers, and it certainly wasn't enough for Barack Obama to sever his ties with the terrorist.
Obama's reaction to those who think the American People should be aware of Obama's associations? Sue them! Sue them all dammit!
Oppressing people by force, it's called "fascism" for those who are not familiar with the definition. That's right, if you dare bring up the facts surrounding the terrorist friendship of Barack Obama and Bill Ayers, like I am doing right now, you are a target for lawsuits from Team Obama. Of course, since I have a middle-class income instead of millions of dollars with which to expose Obama and Ayers, I won't be a target. Remember, you have to money for the Democrats to sue you. So if you want to speak the truth, make sure you aren't too successful in life. Another wonderful message of hope straight from Barack Obama.
These people truly make me sick. It's not the audacity of hope, it's the audacity of Barack Obama thinking he can run the country. The insidious part is that Obama knows the lawsuit won't even go to court, it's nothing more than an attempt to oppress freedom of speech and the facts about his record. Scare the Hell out of the American Issues Project hoping they will go away and cease their exposition of Barack Obama to the American People. Well it looks like those of us who demand the People be made aware of Barack Obama's relationship with terrorist Bill Ayers are not going to give up so easily.
Why don't you just sue everyone Barack? Surely that will fix it. Monday, October 06, 2008 TERRORIST AND OBAMA Current mood: betrayed Category: Blogging ... more -

Let us take you back in time to the final three days of the 2004 election, when the George W. Bush and the John Kerry campaigns were are the height of their sales pitches. In those exciting times, two friends, one American and one European (Jordi Ortega and Johl Smilowski) went to the "swing" state of Nevada and on their bizarre road-trip they interviewed everything that moved: bunnies from Colorado, a chicken-chef from New York, Texan Marines waiting to be sent back to Iraq, actor Sean Penn, hundreds of volunteers of Driving Votes and America Coming Together (ACT) and various drunk people in Halloween costumes on the Vegas strip. American politics served Vegas buffet style. Your memory-refreshing, anti-bullshit pre-voting meditation! A documentary by Jordi Ortega and Johl Smilowski.

With Obama 125,000 More Babies Will Die Each Year
An old and dangerous bill that will increase abortions by an enormous amount is being resurrected by abortion advocates: the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). H.R. 1964 and S.1173.
If FOCA is passed it will increase abortions by 125,000 more per year in the United States. Since 2004, Dr. Michael New has published studies with the Heritage Foundation showing that a large reduction in abortions can be attributed to the Supreme Court that has allowed states to limit abortion somewhat by such things as requiring parental involvement and informed consent, prohibiting government funding of most abortion, and more recently outlawing most partial birth abortions.
Even considering other reduction factors such as change in public opinion, Dr. New’s regression analysis shows that parental involvement laws in a state lead to 0.54 fewer abortions per 1000 women of childbearing age, informed consent laws lead to 0.92 fewer, and state restrictions on Medicaid funding lead to 2.08 fewerBoth pro-life and pro-abortion organizations tell us which states have these laws in place: 36 states have parental involvement laws, 26 states have informed consent laws, and 34 states have funding restrictions.
The U.S. Census Bureau gives us projections for 2009 of females age 15-44 in each of these states. Then it’s a simple matter of cross-referencing the number of women of childbearing age in each state with each abortion restriction, and applying Dr. New’s ratio. The grand total number of abortions reduced by these laws is 124,947.6, per year.
This is a minimum. FOCA will strike down other laws, state and federal, that reduce abortions, and will force states to facilitate abortions. 125,000 more abortions is only the tip of the FOCA iceberg.
Even with this minimum, that’s 125,000 children that were not killed this year because we have these laws, and 125,000 children (added to the existing 1.3 million abortions) who will be killed in 2009 and every year after if FOCA is passed. FOCA is indeed a staggering expansion of abortion, both in principle and in actual lives lost
This is an OBAMINATION. OBama is a mass murderer An old and dangerous bill that will increase abortions by an enormous amount is being resurrected by abortion advocates: the Freedom o... more -

Biden Dropping Out? Rumor Thrives on Internet
It’s almost certainly just a case of the telephone game gone high-tech, but there’s an Internet rumor surging through inboxes and discussion boards that Joe Biden will drop out as Barack Obama’s running mate after his Oct. 2 debate with Sarah Palin — and that he’ll be replaced by Hillary Clinton on the Democratic presidential ticket.
The story line goes as follows: John McCain’s selection of Palin has generated so much interest in the Republican ticket that Obama needs to make a radical move to regain momentum. So in the days after the vice presidential candidates debate in Missouri, Biden will bow out, citing “health problems” (Biden underwent surgery in 1988 to repair two brain aneurysms). Enter Clinton. It’s almost certainly just a case of the telephone game gone high-tech, but there’s an Internet rumor surging through inboxes and disc... more -

Obama voted to keep 'Bridge to Nowhere' alive, Biden too
Although Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden routinely mocks his Republican counterpart, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, for her onetime support of the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere," Biden and his running mate voted to keep the project alive twice
Both Biden and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama voted to kill a Senate amendment that would have diverted federal funding for the bridge to repair a Louisiana span badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina, Senate records show.
And both voted for the final transportation bill that included the $223 million earmark for the Alaska project.
An amendment offered by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Oklahoma, would have stripped the money appropriated to connect the Alaskan coastal city of Ketchikan to its airport on sparsely populated Gravina Island and diverted the money to Louisiana.
But Biden andObama and 80 of their colleagues rejected the measure, an amendment to a massive 2005 transportation bill that funded thousands of projects across the country. Watch how Biden has blasted Palin »
"That is probably the most disturbing element of this and the campaigning on the Bridge to Nowhere," said Bill Allison of the Sunlight Foundation, a taxpayer watchdog group. "Because, yes, they had a chance to vote specifically against the Bridge to Nowhere in Alaska to redirect the money to people, to bridges and infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Katrina going in to New Orleans, and they chose not to."
The final version passed the Senate 93-1. Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who has made his opposition to congressional "pork-barrel" spending a cornerstone of his campaign, did not vote on either the Coburn amendment or the final bill.
"I got also a bridge I got to sell you here, and guess what, it's in Alaska, and it goes nowhere," Biden mocked Palin on the campaign trail last week in Maumee, Ohio. And in Canton, Ohio, he tied it to McCain.
"If you look at it John McCain's answers for the economy, and we're in such desperate shape, is the ultimate bridge to nowhere. It's nowhere," Biden said. "It takes you nowhere."
But while the applause line appealed to the Democratic faithful, it could come back to bite the Delaware senator.
As he embarked on his presidential bid in 2007, Obama said he would no longer ask for earmark projects. McCain, who has been a longtime critic of the process, does not seek any for his home state of Arizona.
CNN asked Biden's campaign whether it could ask the senator about his earmark requests and his votes on the Bridge to Nowhere.
In response, a staffer e-mailed, "You've interviewed Gov. Palin re: her completely made up position on the Bridge to Nowhere right?" Although Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden routinely mocks his Republican counterpart, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, for her... more -

Ron Paul, the next Nader?
Dr. Ron Paul is pushing for "A New Alliance". Hes firring up his supporters to spread this new alliance by supporting libertarian and other third party candidates. Dr. Paul actually endorses constitution party candidate Chuck Baldwin.
Dr. Paul mentioned how hard it was to recruit evangelicals who supported McCain and his pro-war positions. Preying on evangelicals wont milk McCains campaign much but hes got a way better chance with Obama.
He actually admitted, "The point is, new devotees to the freedom philosophy are more likely to come from the left than from those conservatives who have been convinced that God has instructed us to militarize the Middle East."
