Do you consider AMV's art or thievery?
ART can be considered anything in certain, people’s opinions, others disagree. AMVs are anime music videos created from scenes of anime movies, TV shows, art etc. and mixed with music. You can technically call this thievery because you are using other peoples anime scenes, art, movies [unless it’s yours] and mixing it with Somebody’s song [again unless it’s yours] to create a AMV. In technical terms that is thievery. After pondering this some more I conclude that it is not thievery because you’re manipulating two art forms to create a new work of art.
I want to here your opinion on this topic! ART can be considered anything in certain, people’s opinions, others disagree. AMVs are anime music videos created from scenes of anim... more -
Obama widens lead in national poll - CNN.com
In the American Revolution, Gilbert du Motier, marquis de Lafayette served with distinction in the Continental Army under George Washington.
So important was this Frenchman's contribution to our Revolution that on the 4th of July 1917 in the depths of WW I, General John J. Pershing took his newly arrived American Expeditionary Force in Europe to a small cemetary on the outskirts of Paris.
The great stage was set. Many thousands of French people followed the American procession to this little place. The Americans held their ranks with precision as they were snapped to attention. A supreme quiet came accross the crowd as the history and importance of this moment fell to one man, Colonel Charles E. Stanton who drew his sword, faced the tomb of the Marquis and uttered the imortal words, "Lafayette ! We are Here !"
At that beautiful moment, that instant, the entire world heard America's greatness and what it meant to have us as a friend.
We may never be generals, we may never rise to the greatness of a Stanton but I've learned to recognize a moment in history when I see it.

Is TBN related to the British Monarchy?
Just a little observation I made, and It's quite a suspicious discovery indeed. I recently observed TBN"S Emblem or Logo, which consists of A lion and Unicorn to the left and right of a shield, with a crown above and various inscriptions, if you are familiar with symbolism you would know that such a logo is not a logo but is what would be considered a ''Coat Of Arm's'' which is usually associated with Royalty and the Military...Hmmm, why is a Christian Network employing a ''Coat Of Arms''? and are the similarities between the TBN logo and the British Royal coat Of Arms just a coincidence? make your own observations....
The Lion and the Unicorn are time-honoured symbols of the United Kingdom. They are properly speaking heraldic supporters, appearing in the full Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom. The lion stands for England and the unicorn for Scotland. The combination therefore dates back to the 1603 accession of James I of England who was already James VI of Scotland.
The Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom is the official coat of arms of the British monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth II. These arms are used by the Queen in her official capacity as monarch, and are officially known as her Arms of Dominion. Variants of the Royal Arms are used by other members of the Royal Family; and by the British Government in connection with the administration and government of the country. In Scotland, the Queen has a separate version of the Royal Arms, a variant of which is used by the Scotland Office. Just a little observation I made, and It's quite a suspicious discovery indeed. I recently observed TBN"S Emblem or Logo, wh... more -

Banksy's artwork on Leeds barn has $60,000 (£35,000 ) price tag
WHAT has an international graffiti artist and a Leeds farmer got in common?
This week a stencilled image of a television smashing through a window, which Banksy spray-painted on the side of a cattle barn in north Leeds, went on sale with a £35,000 price tag.
The artist, whose identity remains a secret but whose paintings sell for hundreds of thousands of pounds, created the work back in 2003 for a magazine shoot with the pop band Blur.
It was left to the mercy of the elements until earlier this year when its owner decided to sell it.
Incredibly Banksy made not one but three pieces of art during his time at the farm.
Lucy Smith, 28, the farmer's daughter who now lives in Oxford, said: "I didn't speak to Banksy. To be honest I was a bit too pre-occupied with Blur.
"He practiced first on a bit of gate and then did a stencil of a girl holding a television on the other half of the same gate.
"We managed to save one piece of the gate. WHAT has an international graffiti artist and a Leeds farmer got in common? ... more -

KURT COBAIN's Ashes NOT Stolen After All
The Pulse of Radio reports that NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain's ashes were not stolen earlier this year despite tabloid reports that they were, according to Gigwise.com. Alan Nierob, publicist for Cobain's widow Courtney Love, said that a story alleging that Cobain's ashes were taken from Love's Hollywood home along with clothes and jewelry was "erroneously reported" and that the ashes were "never taken." Nierob issued his comments after an Australian artist claimed she would smoke Cobain's ashes in a joint as part of a performance art installation in Berlin later this month.
Natascha Stellmach claimed in Art World that she had acquired Cobain's ashes through "magic" and that smoking them would release the late singer and guitarist "into the ether from the media circus."
Inquiries about what Stellmach is currently smoking have not received a response. The Pulse of Radio reports that NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain's ashes were not stolen earlier this year despite tabloid reports th... more -

Crisis in the Credit System Episode 1 by Melanie Gilligan
Crisis in the Credit System is a four-part drama dealing with the credit crisis, scripted and directed by artist Melanie Gilligan. A major investment bank runs a brainstorming and role-playing session for its employees, asking them to come up with strategies for coping with today’s dangerous financial climate. Role-playing their way into increasingly bizarre scenarios, they find themselves drawing disturbing conclusions about the deeper significance of the crisis and its effects beyond the world of finance. Using fiction to communicate what is left out of documentary accounts of the crisis, the short, TV-style episodes reflect the strangeness of life today in which the financial abstractions that govern our lives appear to be collapsing.
Crisis in the Credit System, commissioned and produced by Artangel Interaction, is the result of extensive research and conversation with major hedge fund managers, key financial journalists, economists, bankers and debt activists.

Ten tallest buildings in the World
The world is a beautiful place in more ways than one. Amongst the urban landscape and thousands of ordinary brick-and-mortar buildings, skyscrapers are architectural and engineering marvels that rise hundreds of meters and even a thousand feet into the air. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), is the official body that determines which buildings fall under the ‘The World’s Tallest Building’ category. It ranks the height of buildings, based on the height to the architectural top of the building, highest occupied floor, top of the roof or the tip of the building.
